Best Gear

Find the optimal equipment for your character

This tool scores every obtainable equipment item in Task Bar Hero against class-specific attribute presets to surface the best pieces per slot for your character. Pick from the 6 classes (Warrior, Mage, Archer, etc.) and your current level, and the calculator ranks items by a weighted sum of base stats and inherited affixes — DPS-focused stats for offensive classes, HP and resistance for tanks. Scoring is pure-attribute based: no Monte Carlo simulations, just stat weights × roll values, so results are deterministic and reproducible. Use it as a quick reference for which stages to farm and which items to keep, enchant, or sacrifice.

Formula:
score = Σ displayValue × weight

weight = partial derivative of role formula at reference point (base+passive+full Immortal gear). Score is proportional to actual DPS / TTL gain.

Best Gear FAQ

What is the best gear in Task Bar Hero?

The best gear depends on class, level, slot, rarity, and stat weights. DPS classes value damage, attack speed, critical stats, and elemental bonuses, while tanks and priests value HP, armor, resistances, healing, and mitigation.

How does the Best Gear calculator score equipment?

The calculator converts base stats and inherited affixes into display values, then multiplies them by class-specific weights. DPS classes use damage-formula derivatives; tank and priest presets use TTL/EHP-oriented weights.

Why are material recommendations separate from gear recommendations?

Equipment ranking compares wearable items. Material ranking compares decorations, engravings, and inscriptions by weighted effects so you can choose the best add-on for a slot and class.

Score = Σ displayValue × weight. DPS chars: weight = DPS formula derivative. Tank/Priest: weight = TTL = MaxHp / max(DPS_taken - HPS, 0.1×DPS_taken) derivative. DPS_taken = stage DPS × mitigation - DamageAbsorption. HPS = passive regen + 0.5×(charDPS×HpLeech%/100 + AttackSpeed×AddHpPerHit), Priest also includes active healing. Ref: base+passive+full Immortal gear.
