Inventory Value
Upload your save file to see the total Steam market value of your inventory
The Inventory Value tool reads your Task Bar Hero save file (SaveFile_Live.es3), decrypts it locally in your browser, extracts all inventory items, and looks up Steam market prices to calculate your total inventory value. Everything is processed locally — no files are uploaded to any server.

How it works
Save file location — Save location: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\TesseractStudio\TaskbarHero\SaveFile_Live.es3 Type %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\TesseractStudio\TaskbarHero in File Explorer address bar to open the folder directly.
Decryption — Uses AES-128-CBC + PBKDF2 to decrypt locally in your browser. The decrypted content is JSON.
Price source — Steam Community Market prices. Only Legendary+ rarity items are tradable on the market.
Inventory Value FAQ
Where is the Task Bar Hero save file?
The default Windows path is %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\TesseractStudio\TaskbarHero\SaveFile_Live.es3. Paste that path into File Explorer to open the folder directly.
Does the inventory calculator upload my save file?
No. The save file is decrypted and parsed locally in your browser. The file is not uploaded to a server.
Why does the estimated inventory value differ from the Steam market?
The estimate uses recently fetched Steam Community Market prices. Real sale value can differ because of listing supply, fees, exchange rates, unavailable items, and market cooldowns.
